    General:

    For competitions and giveaways run and organised by The Local Project, the promoter is: The Local Project, whose registered office is at Suite 508, 19A Boundary Street, Darlinghurst.

    1. Competitions are open to audience members aged 18 years or over except; employees of The Local Project, any other business involved in the competition’s promotion, close relatives and anyone otherwise connected with the organisation or judging of the competition.
    2. There is no entry fee and no purchase necessary to enter this competition, unless otherwise stated.
    3. By entering a competition, an entrant is indicating his/her agreement to be bound by these terms and conditions.

    5. Entry limits are listed on each individual competition’s webpage. If not otherwise stated, then one entry per person applies.
    6. Closing date for a competition entry will be listed on each individual competition webpage on this site. After this date the no further entries to the competition will be permitted.

    The rules of each competition and how to enter are as follows:

The promoter reserves the right to cancel or amend a competition and these terms and conditions without notice in the event of a catastrophe, war, civil or military disturbance or any actual or anticipated breach of any applicable law or regulation or any other event outside of the promoter’s control. Any changes to a competition will be notified to entrants as soon as possible by the promoter.
    2. The promoter is not responsible for inaccurate prize details supplied to any entrant by any third party connected with a competition.
    3. A competition prize is as follows: The prize is as stated and no cash or other alternatives will be offered. A prize(s) are not transferable. Prize(s) are subject to availability and we reserve the right to substitute any prize with another of equivalent value without giving notice.
    4. Winners will be chosen: at random or by a judge acting on behalf of the Promoter and or its agents from all entries received and verified by Promoter and or its agents, unless otherwise stated.
    5. The winner will be notified by email and/or direct message on Twitter/Facebook/Instagram and/or letter within 28 days of the closing date. If the winner cannot be contacted or do not claim the prize within 14 days of notification, we reserve the right to withdraw the prize from the winner and pick a replacement winner.
    6. The promoter will notify a winner when and where a prize can be collected / is delivered.
    7. The promoter’s decision in respect of all matters to do with a competition will be final and no correspondence will be entered into.

    9. A competition and these terms and conditions will be governed by Australian law and any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Australia.

    When you purchase something from our store, fill in a form on our website, or enter a competition held on our platform, as part of the process, we collect the personal information you give us such as your name, address and email address.

    PAYMENT

    If you choose a direct payment gateway to complete your purchase, then The Local Project or the payment gateway provider we use may store your credit card data. It is encrypted through the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI-DSS). Your purchase transaction data is stored only as long as is necessary to complete your purchase transaction. After that is complete, your purchase transaction information is deleted.

    All direct payment gateways adhere to the standards set by PCI-DSS as managed by the PCI Security Standards Council, which is a joint effort of brands like Visa, MasterCard, American Express and Discover.

    PCI-DSS requirements help ensure the secure handling of credit card information by our store and its service providers.

    SECTION 4 – THIRD-PARTY SERVICES

    storefront_digest, unique token, indefinite. If the shop has a password, this is used to determine if the current visitor has access.
