Porktown MFG

Matt Ropiha, the leading man of Porktown MFG, started making furniture out of the desire to fit out his own home, with thoughtful, custom pieces. With a background in commercial trades and construction he knew it was possible. This resulted in him creating mid-century inspired furniture not only for himself, but building it for friends and friends-of-friends. Matt launched his own bespoke furniture company, Porktown MFG, in Preston, Melbourne. Porktown MFG specializes in hand-made tables built using sustainably sourced timber. Matt’s furniture predominantly pairs mild steel with reclaimed timbers that have been salvaged locally or in a sustainable manner. The results are durable, solidly crafted, functional, unique and timeless. Matt works up-close and personal with each of his clients, offering the opportunity to customise each piece according to a person’s individual needs and the needs of their living spaces.
