As Such Wanted The Design To Have A Softer & Feminine Aesthetic

Designed As An Intentional & Direct Contrast To The Dark & Masculine Spaces Of The Existing Quarryman's Hotel

Envisioned As A Feminine Bar Experience, The Rooftop Is Adorned With Gentle Pastel Tones & Is Light, Bright & Open

Hidden Atop The Heritage Listed Quarryman’s Hotel

Or The New Lounge Area Ceilings Which Are “plaster Coffers”, Whilst Above The Bar & Corridor They Transition

The Client Realsied An Opportunity To Redevelop This Space Into A Boutique Roof Top Bar

The Rooftop” Draws Inspiration From Mid Century Modernism & The Residential Architecture Of Palm Springs.

This Is Exemplified With Elements Such As The Circular Penetrations, Which Echo The Existing

Was A Series Of Small Rooms Which Lead Onto A Small Deck That Looked Back Upon The Sydney Skyline

They Are Unmistakably Contemporary In Their Execution

While The New Designs Elements Are Sympathetic To The Existing Buildings Heritage

Laid In A Type Of Offset Chevron Pattern.. Sustainability Is At The Heart Of Every Decision

To “timber Battens” Or The Reclaimed Timber Parquetry Floors, Which Feature 4 Differing Wood Wash Finishes

With De Materialisation Being A Core Design Principle
